Part of my image is blurred or out of focus. What should I do?
-
Try the following:
- Adjust the focus. See Focusing and Zooming Your Image.
- Make sure the lens is not fogged by condensation. If you've just moved the projector from a cold environment to a warm environment, wait a couple of minutes before using it.
- There may be dirt or smears on the lens. To remove dirt or smears on the lens, use lens-cleaning tissue. If necessary, moisten a soft cloth with lens cleaner and gently wipe the lens. Caution: Do not spray liquid or glass cleaner directly on the lens.
- Make sure the projector is within the proper range (2.1 to 27.1 feet) from the screen.
- Make sure the projector is facing the screen squarely.
- Adjust the Sharpness setting on the Image menu. See Adjusting the Image for instructions. When you change video settings, you should be able to see the effect on the screen immediately.
- If you're projecting from a computer and displaying an image that contains a lot of fine detail, you may notice vertical bands or some of the characters may look heavy or blurred. Press the Auto button on the remote control to reset the projector's tracking and sync settings. If further adjustment is needed, you can fine-tune the Tracking and Sync settings manually using the Signal menu on the projector.
- Fill the screen with an image containing fine detail, such as black text on a white background.
- Adjust the Tracking to eliminate vertical bands.
- Adjust the Sync setting to increase the image sharpness.
