Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice and easy to use! I received this scanner for Christmas. I had difficulty setting it up, but with the help of my daughter=-in-law, set up was a breeze! It is easy to use and produces good digital copies of the slides and negatives I have done so far. I am a little disappointed in the feature that is supposed to restore, but it could also be due to the age of the negatives. Overall I am very happy with this product and recommend to the average photo enthusiast.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Scanner I recieved this scanner for Christmas and have been using it heavily since. I am working on scanning hundreds of slides for a family project. Only thing I would have liked is a paper manual but that's a minor point. The color correction works great and I've tried the ICE technology but really hard to tell as some slides were pretty far gone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent printer We purchased this as a replacement for our older model Epson, which after 20+ years finally gave up the ghost and stopped working, we were always happy with the Epson printer as a brand and so far this new printer has not disappointed. Very happy with the quality of prints for photos, documents etc. I would recommend this printer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Option to scan photos and negatives I bought this scanner about 3 weeks ago after a few week's of research online and so far have been experimenting with the different pre-set operational menus to scan both old colour photos and 35mm colour negatives (Auto, Home, Office and Professional). I have experimented enough and read enough other user comments to feel that the Home setting will likely be my go-to mode as the Auto mode does not seem to auto-recognise the separation between the different photos when( scanning 2 or 3 at a time and did not seem to scan the negatives at all and kept producing an image of the film holder only. I have a bit more testing to do before I start our scanning and storage project of 30+ years of pictures/ negatives (many 1000's), but am happy with the quality of the scans and the versatility of various settings within the respective modes. I have not used the Photo Studio 6 software yet, so cannot express any opinion on it. Note: Scanning photos at 1200dpi and above or negatives at 600dpi or higher, will take some patience due to the scan times (can be up to 1 minute or higher per item); use of ICE can be easily 7 minutes per photo and higher. Also, note image size can get quite large (one 4x6 photo at 600dpi is about 1Mb, but move to 1200dpi and it'll take a LOT longer to scan and produce an image 5-7Mb). Good luck :)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good quality scans I would give it five stars if it came standard with a second set of film holders giving you the opportunity to prepare an other film while scanning the first one Especially handy when you have a lot of mayerial to scan We got very good results from 6 x 6 format slides and negatives Software is not the greatest but works Ok

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Price is Right Seems to be good value for what it does. Get frustrated sometimes with apparent illogical and inconsistent orientation when multiple photos are scanned. A bit slower than I'd like. Have not tried to scan slides and negatives as yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superior Service and Product Quality I bought this a few weeks ago to help with a slide scanning project - over 10,000 slides...going to take a while, but this was easy to set up, and begin scanning. Software works fine - and does the job - price is VERY reasonable...buy direct from EPSON, no need to go to best buy, etc.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Could use direct storage onto a flash drive without the comp probably not as good as expected. limited slide enhancement capabilities. Slow as is without extra step of moving pics to flash drive. Would be nice to have a better system for loading /unloading slides.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Easy to Use I used the V600 several times since purchasing it a couple weeks ago and find it easy to use for both negative film as well as slides. The quality is very good and I'm pleased with my purchase.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works but with issues poor tech support available I bought this scanner with high hopes after reading many positive reviews. Be sure to read the negative reviews and take to heart. When it works, it does a decent job at a reasonable price, but with the problems detailed below, it is a much longer process than it should be. These same issues seem to be on the more expensive models as well. Low Reviewers were correct: Flimsy film holders and only two types. Nothing for 110 or 126 size. Film holder can easily scratch the platen from multiple uses. I had read there were issues using it with a MAC, but that patches were available that fix the issues. Unfortunately that does not seem to be the case. On a MAC it stops scanning if the cursor is not kept active over the progress bar. If you leave the progress bar page for any reason the scan stops. So every few seconds you must reactivate the progress bar to keep it scanning. You cannot just set it to scan and walk away to return to a finished scan. I installed the software on a PC and it rarely stops while viewing working on other pages but if you try to move the progress bar or preview pane, you get a beep from Windows that you can't do that while the scan is in progress. Therefore you cannot view what is behind those popups to work on files they obscure. Also, every few scans it fails to detect the second strip if you have two inserted. This also happens occasionally on the MAC as well. It scans faster on the PC but the scans seem grainier in appearance regardless of settings. I viewed the scans on MAC by transferring by jump drive and they appear grainier there too so not the monitor settings for the PC. Very little adjustment light or dark regardless of the settings you choose. Either too light or too dark. Both PC and MAC. The settings don't seem to work like they should. If you deselect certain pictures in a strip it still scans them. If you try to cancel a scan everything locks up. I contacted tech support by email and someone tried to help me. Basically told to uninstall the software and reinstall from the website not the CD and update everything. Worked great for about a day and then started stopping mid scan all over again. I did the uninstall/reinstall again without success. The support person finally told me they didn't know anything else to try but to call Epson - both US and CA numbers available were long distance. No toll free number to call for help. Very disappointed.
