Setting Up Epson iProjection for Chromebook

Before you set up the Epson iProjection app, make sure that both your Chromebook and Epson projector are connected to the same network. See your projector documentation for more information on connecting your product to a network.

1. On your Chromebook, install the Epson iProjection app from the Google Play Store.
    
2. Click the Launcher.
3. Click the Epson iProjection icon.
   
   You see this screen:
   
   
    
4. Click on the IP address button, then enter your projector’s IP address in the box and hit Enter.
   
   Note: If you don’t know your projector’s IP address, press the LAN button or the Home button on the projector’s remote control to display it.
    
5. Select your projector from the list.
   
   
   
   You see the iProjection home screen:
   
   
    
6. Select Device Screen.
   
   You see this screen:
   
   
    
7. Select the screen you want to share and click Share.

Your Chromebook’s display is now mirrored by the projector. Anything that you do on your Chromebook is also shown by your projector.

When you're done, click the Epson iProjection icon in the Chrome OS app shelf, then click Disconnect to end the session and stop mirroring your Chromebook display.

Multi-Device Projection

iProjection for Chromebook allows up to 50 devices to connect to the projector at once and can project images from up to 4 connected devices at one time. Follow these steps to become the moderator and control the display of connected devices in Multi-Device Projection mode:

1. Select the Multi-Device Projection icon from the iProjection Home screen.
   
   
    
2. Click the icon in the upper right of the display and select Become Moderator.
   
   
    
3. Do one of the following depending on how many device images you want to display:
   • Select to project content from a single device.
   • Select to project content from two devices.
   • Select to project content from four devices.
4. Drag and drop the devices from the list on the left to the display fields on the right to project the image from those devices.
   
   
    
5. Do the following to control the moderator function:
   • Select to freeze the image from a device.
   • Select to resume projection from a device.
   • Select once to temporarily stop projection from a device, then select the icon again to resume normal display.

To exit Multi-Device Projection mode completely and continue projecting the moderator device’s screen, click the back arrow in the upper left of the screen and select Device Screen.

Displaying the Chromebook screen in Multi-Device Display

Follow these steps if you wish to simultaneously display your Chromebook’s screen along with the other connected devices in Multi-Device Display mode:

1. On the Multi-Device Display screen, select your Chromebook from the list of connected devices on the left side and drag it into the display field on the right.
   
   
    
2. Do one of the following:
   
   
   • Select to project content from a single device.
      
   • Select to project content from two devices.
      
   • Select to project content from four devices.
      
3. Click the icon in the upper left of the iProjection screen.
    
4. Click Device Screen to display the Chromebook’s screen.
   
   

When you’re done, click the Epson iProjection icon in the Chrome OS app shelf, then click Disconnect to end the session and stop mirroring your Chromebook display.

Sharing an Image

As the moderator, you can send your screen to the projector and use the Epson iProjection App to share the projected image with other iProjection-connected devices.

1. From the moderator’s device, select Multi Device Projection on the iProjection home screen.
   
   
    
2. Select your Chromebook from the list of connected devices on the left side and drag it into the display field on the right.
   
   
    
3. Select the menu in the upper left corner, then select Device Screen.
    
4. Click the Image Share icon that appears on the right side of your display to share the projected image.

Receiving an Image

You can view images shared by the moderator. Select the menu in the upper left corner, then select Shared Images.

Creating and Viewing Annotated Images

You can use the pen tool to annotate images shared by a moderator device.

1. Display a shared image from the moderator device.
    
2. Click to open the annotation tools.
    
3. Use the following controls to annotate the shared image:
   
   
   • Click to enable the pen tool and select the color and line width of the pen. Click and drag across the screen to annotate the image.
      
   • Click to enable the eraser. Click and drag across the screen to erase any lines you have drawn.
      
   • Click to erase all annotations.
      
   • Click in the upper right to save your current annotations.
      
   • Click to undo a previous annotation.
     
     Note: You can undo up to 10 previous annotations.
      
   • Click to redo a previous annotation.
4. Click to exit the annotation tools.

The moderator can view annotated images from connected devices by clicking the Epson iProjection icon in the Chrome OS app shelf, then selecting Multi Device Projection from the iProjection home screen. The annotated images appear in the list of connected devices.
