There has been a document feed error in the unit and I can not pull it out from the input area. What should I do?

    Pulling stuck documents in the unit can damage the motors and belts in the unit. Open the cover to the ADF, push on the blue release lever and gently pull the document FORWARD in the direction of normal feed operation to remove from the jam from the top. If the jam is half-way through the mechanism, lift up on the ADF to view the unit from the bottom side. Locate the release lever on the left side of the ADF, gently open the plastic feed guide and partially pull the document out of the ADF. Locate the blue release lever mentioned previously. While pressing the release lever gently pull the document from the bottom of the unit.
