Why does my system hang when I unplug the product from the computer?

• If your Windows system hangs after unplugging the scanner, try disabling Event Monitoring in Scanners and Cameras. If the scanner's Start button stops working on a Macintosh, manually launch EPSON Smart Panel and one of its applets. This will restore the button feature.
