How do I scan a thick document or a document too large for the scan bed?

• When you scan a large or thick document, you can lift the scanner cover to accommodate the document.

  Note: Do not place heavy objects on the scanner glass and do not press on the glass with too much force, or it may damage the scanner. Do not leave photos on the scanner glass for an extended period, or they may stick to the glass.

  Try the following:

  1. Open the scanner cover.
  2. Place the large or thick document facedown on the scanner glass. Make sure the upper left corner of the document or photo is aligned with the arrow mark in the corner of the scanner.
  3. Gently close the scanner cover. You may need to hold the cover down as you scan.

     Note: The scanner cover may lift up slightly from the base of the scanner.

  4. Start scanning.
