My computer does not recognize the product when I use a USB connection to set up the product. What should I do?

  • Make sure you restart your computer after you install the product software. If that does not help, try the following:

    • Make sure the product is turned on.
    • Make sure to use the USB cable that came with the scanner and connect the USB-C plug to the USB-C port on the scanner.
    • Make sure Epson Scan 2 for your scanner model is installed on your computer before connecting the product to the computer.
    • Disconnect your product from your computer, then reconnect it.
    • Make sure the Epson Scan 2 Utility is installed on your computer and verify your scanner is listed.
    • If you use a USB hub, connect the product directly to the computer.
    • Try using a different USB port on the computer.
    • Make sure the PC Connection via USB setting is not disabled on the control panel.
