What is Black Enhanced Overcoat?

  • Black Enhanced Overcoat is a print mode that can reduce metamerism on photo media. When Black Enhanced Overcoat is enabled, the product prints with darker tones of black by overcoating the black with gray.

Note: Printing with Black Enhanced Overcoat creates larger margins on the edges of your printout. To reduce the size of the margins, select Minimize Top Margin. This option may lower the print quality near these margins and, when used on paper that curls easily, may cause the paper to rub against the print head.

Note: Black Enhance Overcoat is available only for certain types of glossy media. Print speed is also reduced when using this setting.
