How do I run a cleaning cycle from the product's control panel?

• You can clean the print head using the control panel on your product.
  1. Load roll or cut sheet paper in the printer.
  2. Make sure the correct paper type is selected.
  3. Select   maintenance > Head Cleaning.
  4. Select Start to start the cleaning cycle.

     Note: A typical head cleaning cycle takes about 5 to 6 minutes.

     The power light begins flashing. When the cleaning cycle is finished, the power light stops flashing and a confirmation screen appears.

     Caution:
     Never turn off the product during a cleaning cycle or you may damage it.

  5. Select Yes to print a nozzle check pattern.
  6. Check the printed pattern to see if there are gaps in the lines.

  7. Follow the instructions on the screen to clean the print head, check the nozzles, and repeat the process as necessary.
  If you don’t see any improvement after cleaning the print head three times, run a Power Cleaning.Related tasks
