Do I need a raster image processor (RIP) to print from Adobe Illustrator?

• For the best output, a RIP should be used. Adobe Illustrator is a postscript application that requires a RIP to translate the postscript language. The printer comes with a non-postscript driver that has difficulty translating the postscript language.
