Support Wearables Pulsense Epson PS-500 Pulsense Watch

My Pulsense device doesn't always detect when I sleep. What should I do?

  • Try the following:
    • Make sure the heart rate monitor is on. To check if it's on, do the following:
      • PS-100: Tap the band. One blue LED should flash five times.
      • PS-500: Check if a heart icon appears on the LCD.
    • Make sure the Pulsense device does not touch your ulna bone.

    • To improve accuracy, you can enter the time you usually sleep in the PULSENSE View app. Open the PULSENSE View app, tap > Device settings > Sleep settings, then set the ON/OFF switch to green (ON). Set your average Sleep and Awake time.

Note: The Pulsense device may not detect you're asleep in a moving vehicle (such as car or train). The vehicle's acceleration may register as body movement and cause the Pulsense device to not detect you are asleep.

Consuming alcohol can cause your heart rate or pulse to remain elevated. Your heart rate may not drop to your basal heart rate level and make it difficult to track that you are asleep.
