When and how should I clean or replace the air filter?
-
See below.
Cleaning the Air Vents
Clean the projector's air vents if they get dusty, or if you see a message telling you to clean them.- Turn off the projector, wait for the projector to beep, and unplug the power cord.
- Carefully remove the dust using a vacuum cleaner or a brush.
Caution:
Do not use canned air. The gases may leave a flammable residue or push dust and debris into the projector's optics or other sensitive areas.
Replacing the Air Filters
You need to replace the air filters in the following situations:- After cleaning an air filter, you see a message telling you to clean or replace it.
- An air filter is torn or damaged.
You can replace an air filter while the projector is mounted to the ceiling or placed on a table.
Note: The projector has one air filter on the front and two on the sides. The illustrations here show replacing the air filter on the front, but the steps are the same to replace the filters on the side.
- Turn off the projector, wait for the projector to beep, and unplug the power cord.
- Loosen the screw securing the air filter cover.
- Open the air filter cover.
- Pull the air filter out of the projector.
Note: Air filters contain polypropylene. Dispose of used air filters according to local regulations.
- Place the new air filter in the projector as shown and push gently until it clicks into place.
- Close the air filter cover.
- Tighten the screw securing the air filter cover.
- Repeat these steps to replace the other air filters.
Note: The air filter cover on the side of the projector is attached to a cord to prevent it from falling.
