Rated 4 out of 5 by from great ink price, average printer My overall impression of this printer is favorable. I print a LOT of papers being a homeschooling mom of four kiddos, so I have gotten to be very particular about printers. Pros: *I can print from any computer or phone in my house. The ease of use there is HUGE for me, and saves me having to bring laptops to printers to print, and allows me to print directly from my phone *Set up was easy and straightforward. Nothing confusing, nothing difficult, just out of the box, onto the shelf, follow the very short instructions. * print quality is good. I tested it to the limit by printing an 8.5X11 picture off of my cellphone that I had edited, and it printed up amazingly well *ink is priced extremely reasonably to my mind. *Lightweight and easy to move. *I love the clear ink windows so i can visibly see how much ink is left *the app that goes along with the printer also shows ink levels, pending print jobs, and other status updates. Super convenient! cons *installation speed. It took over 10 minutes to charge the ink. It took close to half an hour to install all the software. I don't have the fastest internet, but it's far from slow. it was definitely the slowest from plugging it in to printing of any printer I've tried out *print speed is a bit slow for what i expected. not slow, but slower than I would prefer. Printed 48 coloring pages and it took me about 5 minutes. *this thing is large. it's just a beast of a printer. I have all of our printers lined up on a shelving unit, and this one almost doesn't fit. It's certainly not a deal breaker in terms of anything, but definitely worth noting. neutral: *I did note that the first few pages printed faster than the next few, and it got progressively slower as the pages went. *it's decently loud for a printer In summation, I would recommend this for a friend, especially considering ink costs and page counts etc, but it's definitely not a massive improvement over my much cheaper and smaller printer that I was currently using, so I likely wouldn't buy it were I in the market for a new printer. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Epson Expression EcoTank ET-2700 Set-up: This 3 in 1 printer was very easy to set up with the directions provided. I decided to set it up wirelessly and it easily connected to my home network. Also, when setting up the printer I followed the instructions on installing the ink and that went very smooth. Functions: This is the best printer ever!! I love how you can print from all your wireless devices and the scanning quality is hands down the best and very clear!! “This is a review for the Epson Expression ET-2700 EcoTank All-in-One Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.”

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Freedom from ink cartridges! My interest in this all-in-one device is mainly due to its unusual (if not novel) printer ink delivery system. Replacing cartridges is the bane of every inkjet printer user because of cost; but what I hate most is having to run to get a cartridge just as I need to print something very important. This printer offers the promise of vast numbers of pages printed before needing to replace the ink. In the box: printer, power cable, set up software optical disk, QuickStart instructions, and initial ink supply. Not included is a USB printer cable, so if Wi-Fi set up doesn’t work for you at first, or you don't have a WiFi network available, you’re going to have to provide your own cable for setup (and printing). The printer itself is made of standard consumer grade plastic. It is not particularly heavy but seems sturdy enough. Fit and finish are in-line with entry level consumer grade electronics. There were no rough edges, squeaky hinges, ill fitting covers, or rattling mysteries. Everything that needed to snap into place did so without having to be forced, and did not come loose afterwards. After several weeks of use I have seen no scuffs or discoloration of the unit. There is no Touch screen interface, and there is no LCD screen. Clearly-labeled and easily-depressed buttons are front and center. There is no card reader for file printing, but remote printing is easily accomplished (see below), which softens the blow. Set up was delightful, unexpectedly--simple, quick, painless. My biggest fear was making an enormous mess putting the ink into the printer. However, I was able to transfer all four bottles of black and colored ink in the printer without a single drop spilled. At first I had some apprehension that I would put the wrong color in a reservoir, but I note that each bottle's nozzle is matched to its accompanying reservoir by shape, and each color's shape is different. Ink supplied with the printer filled each of the CMYK reservoirs completely--no chintzy supplied ink here!! Driver set up was painless. I was able to set up by using software downloaded from Epson's website on both a PC and Mac (link included with printer--optical media copy included as backup). Connecting the printer to the WiFi network only needed to be done once, with WiFi Direct, and "handshake“ occurred without a problem the first time I tried. Print quality is quite good. Even using standard multipurpose paper, colors are rich, blacks are inky, and I I note no bleeding. There has been no difficulty in the ink feed system, something I also worried about. Distribution of the ink has been uniform without any faded spots or dropouts. Sharpness will never match laser printing, but it is quite acceptable and output held at reading distance is comfortable to read. Speed of the printer is as rated, both for image – heavy and text-only pages. Paper feed never once jammed through printing several hundred pages thus far. The paper feed holds disappointing 100 pages at once and standard thickness letter paper, so those to print throughout the day or routinely have large print jobs may want to think twice about purchasing this printer. I have not tried stock of the regular size or thickness so cannot comment on that. Printing is single-sided only. Controlling the printer via computer or iOS app is simple. If a connection has to be made between the printer and the remote device, it has thus far been seamless, as I have noted no delay in printing after sending a command. With Internet connectivity, printing remotely has easily accomplished. The printer works acceptably as a an occasional scanner. The scanning service will hold large flat originals, and easily, accommodated an open book. There is no document feeder, so those who need to scan large batches of papers should look elsewhere. Scanning is single-sided, of course. In short, this all-in-one device is a very competent printer with robust network connectivity, with perfectly acceptable scanning. Is it a good value? Similarly-equipped models with ink cartridges rather than reservoirs cost 50% less, but the price of replacement cartridges eat that up over time. If it prints as many pages as advertised using its initial ink supply, then I will be able to say yes, resoundingly. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for your home and all devices! First thing up front: I highly doubt you will be disappointed in this All-in-One Printer! So, the first thing I liked was feeling how light the box was after it arrived at my doorstep. At some point, someone has to move or lift this occasionally. I was looking forward to seeing how the tanks work and just how messy it will be to fill them up, from time to time. I was also looking forward to the ease of setup printers have to be now-a-days. Lastly, I was also looking forward to the print quality and how far it has gotten, based on my 4-year-old Canon. I can say that all was almost great! Now I found the print quality to be outstanding. I printed the same document on my older one and this ET-2700 and how I have lived with that older one? I never noticed. The colors are sharp and the black is very crisp looking. Some of the pictures I have hanging around have all been reprinted and look so much better on my office walls! The setup was frustrating. I’m a techie engineer, so of course I will get anything to “work” and I was hoping this would just be an easy thing. Well, it is if you’re good with having to use a USB cable. I did this from a MAC and it went well. One time it said it didn’t load but I did it again and it worked like I’d expect. I just thought it would just “work” with Wi-Fi or something. Of course, there isn’t a fax or LCD included, so doing this on the printer wasn’t expected. Now the fill-up process! Man, was I surprised! I thought for sure there would end up being drips down the side of the tank, puddles under the printer or some other mess. There wasn’t. I tried to be “rough” putting the ink in. Normal rough, not blatantly squeezing the bottle, but accidently putting black into the yellow. No ink spilled as I discovered the slots aren’t the same, so you family members “have” to do it right. On top of all of this, you can see the levels from the front! Now we all will know when the ink is really “out” from now on. I was skeptical; I’m good now! All of our Android devices, iDevices, MACs and yes, a windows PC all print to the printer just fine. It is quick but I don’t expect it to be fast if I think an 8x10 is important enough to print. I like this printer. We even have been able to scan with it very easily! I’ve tested quite a few things and this is one of the few that I plan to continue to use! Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality printer with great print capacity I have been Epson ET-2700 for almost a week now. My first impression of using the printer has been really good. The printer itself is really compact. Setting up the printer was a breeze. The printer did not require any hardware set up, it was all assembled in the box. The set up required filling up the ink in the tank and priming the printer. Next step in the set up required installing the required drivers on my mac and connecting the printer to the WiFI network. Since the printer does not have a LCD screen for set up, printer had to be the connected to my computer using a USB cable. The cable is not included with the printer, but it is a standard printer cable, I was able to use the one from my existing printer. The printer was online and ready to print after this step. The printer was accessible to all my devices on the network. I printed a few documents and pictures. The printer operation is not too noisy and the print speed was pretty good. Print quality is not too bad either. Black and white prints were really good. The color printing takes more time to print and the print quality is good. Scanning and Copying also worked without an issue. The quality of scans was very good and it worked flawlessly with the Epson Scan software on my Mac. Overall I am pretty impressed with the machine, it is a small package that does not take a lot of space and the printing capacity with Ink tanks is exceptional. Not a deal breaker, but It would have been nice if the printer came with Automatic Document Feeder and USB printer cable. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great print quality, Lots of connection options Let me start of with the pros, because I really think this printer is great. The process of taking it out of the box and getting the ink installed was not only easy, but actually kind of impressive (Im a huge nerd). No ink was spilled, and the printer primed itself quickly. After spending a few hours experimenting with various print settings, I learned that you can do two very different types of printing: very, very fast, or very detailed, but not both. Printing text is lighting fast, so much so that it started spraying pages out into the room because I forgot to extend the page catch tray. But printing fast onto photo paper got mediocre results. Colors were dull. But then I realized there was a setting for this, and the slower setting on glossy photo paper was incredible. Just like I had ordered it from an online print company. 8x10's took about 35minutes, and 4x6's took about 2. So still not bad. I printed nearly a hundred documents, pictures, and random things and I cant tell if the ink level went down, so I think its safe to say this is going to last a good while. If there is one drawback, its the software. Once you get it installed, its actually pretty impressive, but to me the setup was lacking information. The booklet that comes with it gives me one webaddress to go to download the software, which isn't the same site that the quick start guide points you towards, and there is no section in the manual telling you how the scanner works or where that software is. That I just had to find on the website. But once you get up and running, everything worked like a charm.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Prints awesome, set up is a nighmare.          Upon unboxing of this printer, first thing I noticed was that it's pretty lightweight. It's something that I could have stored in a certain spot of my desk and not really have to worry about it being too heavy. Because of that it is pretty east to "scooch" it out in order to print papers. Straight Out of the Box it was pretty easy setup when it came to filling the ink tanks, even though I was a bit nervous and kept checking and rechecking to make sure that I did not mix up the colors for each individual tank. Initially I was worried about the ink leaking once I lifted it out of or away from the reservoir after filling but there wasn't even the tiniest bit of ink that dripped. The tanks were relatively easy to fill, took really no time at all.           That was where easy ended for me. Getting this thing to connect to my wireless router was an absolute nightmare. Yes I am tech savy but I did not have the cord that you could use to direct connect the printer and it was not included in the Box. So it took me around 2 hours to troubleshoot every which way and see if I could get this thing connected without having to go out and buy a separate cable to direct connect it. However, being tech savy, I was actually able to switch some settings around and connect it through the WPS button. I did not have to use the CD, I was actually able to download all of the drivers and all of the programming for this printer from the website directly because my laptop does not have a disk drive.           Once I had everything loaded and everything connected and everything ready to go, I put a few sheets of paper in and I let it do its thing and it kept getting jammed. I'm still having issues with the paper getting jammed if it's not in the exact perfect position every time it prints.          Over all though, once papers loaded right I really do love this printer it's seems like it's going to be really economical. It's going to save me a lot of money on ink and it prints amazingly crisp images! Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Home Printer For the past week I have been using the Epson Expression ET-2700 EcoTank All-in-One Printer printer as my primary home printer. Typically I use it for printing emails, office documents and coupons. In all of the above tasks the printer worked as one would expect. I printed from my laptop, as well as my phone using google cloud print, and it worked flawlessly. One feature that I appreciated was the ability to choose color vs black & white from my mobile device. My old printer gave the option, but always printed in color. The Epson handled the color selection correctly every time. Not sure if this is related to the setup or functionality of the google cloud print, but it was a welcome surprise. The setup was the same as any other printer, however this one comes with ink bottles that you pour into the tanks with specialty fit nozzles on the top of the ink bottles. On the bottles it claims that each one is keyed and will not overflow or spill, etc. I was a little unsure and apprehensive loading the ink, figuring it would spill everywhere, but each one worked great and I didn’t spill a drop. As mentioned earlier I’ve only had this printer a week, but so far so good, it has become my new main printer in my house. The ink levels haven’t budged for the past week, so it appears that the ink will hold up as long as it claims. One thing I don’t particularly care for is the paper sticks out the top back of the printer, behind the scanner deck perpendicular to the scanner deck. I normally like the tray fed paper where it is tucked inside the printer. It isn’t a deal breaker more of an annoyance than anything. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Home Printer/Copier This device is a great personal or home office printer. Because of the seperate ink tanks (black, yellow, cyan, magenta) you could save lots of money on ink. You buy the ink in bottles and add ink to each tank as needed. It comes with lots of ink in the box, enough for about 2 years of average household printing per Epson. Both black & white and color print quality is great and it has a button on the printer to switch from printing text documenets or graphics & photos, that way it knows how to apply the ink to get the best quality results. The setup was not the easiest I've done because of the lack of no screen, only buttons. This means you have to connect it to a computer or laptop via USB cord to complete the setup. However once you've finsihed the basic setup you can connect it to your wi-fi and unplug the cord. You can also print to it from your phones and tablets via wi-fi as well. Overall I think it's a great printer, a bit pricey however I think the savings on ink cartridge purchases will more than make up for the initial cost of the printer itself. Pros: Good quality prints, direct wi-fi printing, separate ink tanks for each color so that you only have to re-fill as needed, simple easy to use prints & copies. Cons: No on-device screen (however not needed after setup), no automatic duplex printing, must connect via USB cord for initial setup. *This is a review for the Epson Expression ET-2700 EcoTank All-in-One Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Printer! I got this printer for use in my home. I don't print a lot, but when the need arises it needs to be of high quality and color. From the start the printer was easy to set up and extremely easy-to-use. The instructions were more than adequate and the wifi printing is super-easy. The quality and speed of the printed pages is amazing! My only con to this printer is that it seems a bit loud when feeding paper, otherwise it's 5-stars! I HIGHLY recommend this printer!
