Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great projector for the price The Epson 3200 is a very bright projector excellent for viewing with moderate ambient light. The picture colorful, but I have noticed the middle of the screen is brighter than the outer screen. I think the type of screen can exacerbate this issue, especially a high gain screen, or a screen with a reflective coating(me) causes noticeable hot spotting. The projector doesn't need any help with brightness, I think a plain gray screen without reflective additives would work best. I am going to try a paint to see if it an reduce the hot spotting. Overall I am happy with this projector.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better Than a TV Owning a projector was not something I thought about much but I have been really happy with this one so far. Our old TV was dying so we decided to give projectors a try. Getting this set up and going out of the box was a breeze. I connected the projector to my spare laptop in my living room. Total set up time was about 30 minutes. I really think after using this for two weeks that I will use this instead of getting a TV. The picture is clear and makes everything feel like I am watching a movie at the theater. This is a review for the Epson Home Cinema 3200 projector that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One impressive little projector I don’t usually do unboxings, but I have to admit that I’ve wanted to upgrade my projector for a few years now. Tomorrow brings my new screen, but today- ahh today has brought this beautiful new projector, and I look forward to putting it through its paces before replacing my old unit for movie night. Okay, first off, Epson knows how to package their tech. You know how disappointing it can be when you order something and it arrives in a banged up box and the device itself looks like it’s been used as a Mad Max prop? Not here. Plenty of space, styrofoam casing, cardboard inserts, and one of those thin foam padding sheets around the projector itself making sure that nothing touches your new projector until you do. The accessories are partitioned off in a cardboard insert, with the user manual in the main compartment. Oh sweet! I was expecting the styrofoam to trap the projector in the box so you have to pull the whole thing out and get styro bits everywhere, or where you have to flip the box over to have the thing drop out along with any bits that found their way into the box during its journey. But they have the styrofoam shell in four pieces, so you can take off the top bumpers and reach in to lift out the projector. They even shaped the foam so it’s easy to reach under the sides instead of front/back. Why can’t everyone do this? Okay, so it’s the middle of a sunny day, and I’m impatient. Not a fair test of a projector, but just how capable is this thing? I have a wall here to test with (useful things, walls), and I’ve got an extra port on my computer - time to set things up. Okay, setup is easy. Not like it’s rocket science in general. The rubber feet can extend out to what looks like about half the height of the projector, which gives me some flexibility in positioning the projector. Looks like all the threaded holes for the feet and mounting have brass inserts - nice. And just when I’m looking for something to help tilt the projector back a little more, I remember the Vertical and Horizontal lens shift controls. Ohhhh, now this is nice. Looks like the unit came with the lens shifted all the way down, so I moved it back up. There is a soft click as I hit the middle of each range, which is definitely a nice feature. The wide/tight angle and focus adjustments are buttery smooth, though the focus is a bit quick and I take a couple walks over to the wall to get it right. Okay, color me impressed with the brightness of the image. Even in the middle of the day, I soon forgot I was doing a test and simply sat down to enjoy it. During the test, I ran an audio cable from the projector to a soundbar I normally use on movie nights. It became immediately obvious that something was wrong. I tested the audio from the projector with some headphones and it was fine. Tested the soundbar with my phone and… well, there went that idea. Soundbar was dead. I thought I had seen something about the projector having internal audio, so I went in and… wait… this has bluetooth?? Sure enough, 20 seconds later I had it paired with my stereo system and enjoyed a few music videos. Minor audio sync issue which could probably be resolved with a configurable delay buffer, but still very watchable. One less wire to deal with, and hey! I can connect my bluetooth headphones, for when other people might be trying to sleep or work, without even having to get up. A long-throw projector like this is great inside, but one of the things we like to do on the warm summer nights is head outside and watch a movie under the stars. My old projector is nowhere near the resolution of this one, so it will be interesting to see how far away and how wide it can get while still being watchable. Okay! Wow. I bought a 150-inch hangable screen and the image was simply beautiful. A neighbor came over and he had the bright idea (no pun intended) to move the projector toward the street and project against the whole house to see how far we got before the image was too dim to view. Answer: no clue. This beast lit the house up, even with a streetlight a couple dozen feet away. Walking up to the house, we were both surprised at the projected image’s edge definition. Eventually we moved the projector back up toward the screen and enjoyed a movie and a half before my laptop’s batteries ran low. Next time I bring a power splitter out, too. But for tonight, I have seen enough to be impressed. Oh, and it fits [barely, but it does] in my backpack! The future's looking very bright. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to Use I absolutely love this Projector. This is an upgrade from our last Epson Projector, which was also great. This one, however, is significantly easier to use, which I really appreciate. Especially when it comes to playing the audio through external speakers. With another two clicks of the buttons, I was able to send the sound through my Bluetooth speaker, which was amazing. The picture itself is super sharp as well. The manual fine-tuning of the sharpness is phenomenal. And it looks fresh sitting in our cabinet waiting to be used again. This is a review for the Epson Home Cinema 3200 projector that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. All-in-all, I highly recommend this Projector.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing This thing is simply amazing. I have never owned a projector, always had a normal tv and just always thought it was a cool idea but always though it wasn't as good picture quality as a normal tv. After this....I don't think I can ever go back to a normal tv lol. The picture quality was amazing, better than my Samsung lcd tv. I bought a 110in blank screen to go with it and wow, the size is just pure joy and awesomeness. We love watching movies and sports and it's been the best. Especially inviting friends and family over. Setting up wasn't to bad, I looked up some videos before hand and just hooked up my Apple TV to it. Quality of the projector itself is very nice and well built, definitely a premier product. Remote seems very functional as well but we just use the Apple TV remote. If your on the fence....pull the trigger, you won't regret it. Highly recommend anyone that has the room for it to buy this ASAP! Just pick yourself up a blank screen and your all set...will bring a smile to your face every time you turn it on and watch something.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product! This product is a great visual display system that has awesome, high-quality picture and grpahics capabilities and has plenty of settings for fine tuning adjustments. The projection quality is pristine and clear, thanks to the 4K HDR technology. The overall size of this project is slightly on the heftier side, but the display quality definitely makes up for it. This project s intricately designed that really transforms every movie experience. One of the highlight features of the this home cinema projector is the bulb adjustability. There are 2 dials on the top side of the projector that allow the screen to shift left or right, top or bottom. I was able to adjust the screen the entire length and width of my wall by just moving the dials. The color is sharp and bold and the resolutio has been maintained. The brightness is on-point. Overall, a very attractive porjector design with very high quality and value for years of usage. I recommend this projector to others!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid 4k projector with odd install. So I've been lucky to have owned many projectors over the years. Back in the old days of the vga projectors that you couldn't read words on all the way to laser 4k projectors. The 3200 represents a good value vs cost projector - its not the top of the line nor the cheapest thing you can get. It is right in the middle. We have a light controlled dedicated theater - your results will vary depending on room light and screen. Pro: - The image looks GREAT with both 4k and 1080p material (we have a player that up converts all content) and would be hard to notice anything better, short of being side by side to a true 4k projector - The color and HDR look great in a dark room - The adjustments are easy for moving the picture once installed - Has two HDMI 2.1 inputs for multiple sources - Has the ability to trigger - to control other devices - Boots up super fast - No rainbow effect that I could notice - Very quite while you are watching material - you can still hear it when the on mute - Blub cost - it is one of the best priced replacement blubs I've seen which is nice when you need to replace - should last 5-6 years with normal use. Cons: - The ceiling mount is not a standard size - its HUGE - I had to replace the ceiling mount I had and took some time to find one that worked. Its because the distance from edge to edge of the mount is greater than 12.5 inches - 3D - this is more a problem with 3d in general but the performance isn't great and you have to adjust the settings each time to get it to work (the auto mode does NOT work - I had to specifically turn it to 3d mode) - Remote - not that the remote is bad but its HUGE - its almost the largest remote I have - Not "true" 4k - but to be honest most projectors on the market are not true and use a pixel shift feature - this one is not different. That said the picture looks great and it would be hard to notice anything better - Does not come with 3D glasses - you need bluetooth enabled 3d glasses with active lens to make it work (we had some from before) Overall its a great first 4k projects without breaking the bank. It could be better, but at this price it is hard to find one that is much better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Picture If you want to take bring the theatre experience into your home then look no further. This projector has super bright, crisp, clear images day or night. Easy to set up and user friendly. The remote makes it so you never need to get up to control projector.
