Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fulfilled its promise I bought this scanner after reading online reviews. I had some 2000 old color prints that I wanted to digitize and store on my computer and had the choice of doing it myself or sending them to a 3rd party. Glad I decided to buy this scanner and do it myself as I have the prints insexed the way I want them and I still have the scanner for future use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Scanner I brought this about a month ago and have already scanned about 5000 pictures, It is easy to use and as fast as they advertise. I scan at 600dpi and the photos just zip thru. It scans the original and if you have the enhancements checked in the settings it creates an additional photo with those enhancements (Auto Enhance, Remove red eye and restore faded colors). I have many photos that my mother took and they are faded, with the restore faded colors they look like they were taken yesterday.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works as expected - a real time saver I purchased the Epson FastFoto FF-640 about three weeks ago and have used it daily for scanning documents and photos, about 300 scans thus far. Setup and installation of the software was easy and straightforward. I really appreciate the its small footprint, the quality of its scans, and the speed of the scans. Also, it scans both sides of a document simultaneously, which is a real time saver. For my use it's impressive overall and equals the same top quality as my Epson Artisan 1430 printer. Also, I am not affiliated or connected in any way with Epson.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful answer for my dilemma! I bought the FastFoto FF-640 about six weeks ago. I now have about 2000 snapshots and photos saved on a DVD, all digitized in my spare time. I have all my old photos plus my mother's. We have forest fires where I live and I often wondered how I would save those old photos if I had to evacuate immediately. This was the answer! I've sent copies of the DVDs to immediate family members. I love the speed and I love the way it fixes old photos. I also love that you can scan the backs because otherwise I wouldn't know who some of these people are. I scanned panoramic photos from vacations, too. The only pictures I had to scan on my flatbed scanner where the very old ones that were backed on cardboard. They were too thick to go through.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic experience We bought the scanner to digitize family photos that have been sitting in boxes for 30 years. Originally we were going to go with a flatbed scanner but when we were shopping the salesperson told us about this product. We were hesitant due to price point but thought we would give it a try. This is well worth the investment! Pictures, artwork, documents, old report cards, you name have all been saved to an external hard drive! So easy and fast to use!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful and very fast scanner I bought this scanner 02/06/2017 and it has changed my like, especially in the old picture clutter department. Both of our Mothers died within the last 2 years and we literally had plastic bins full of photos. Got them downloaded on flash drives for of the family members and now everyone has a copy. I had trouble at first getting it connected to my computer. I called Epson Tech Support and got a man named Robin. Very nice and solved my problem quickly. Best experience I have had with Tech support, ever.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best!! Scanning about 10000 Photos using another Epson scanner. Thankfully EPSON introduced tthis late last year. This is the best thing to happen and it has simplified our job so much thank you Epson, I highly recommend this scanner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome product!! After a couple of years of scanning family photo's on a flatbed scanner I decided to purchase this unit after reading an article on its speed and the fact that it can scan the back at the same time. I was missing all that information on the ones I had scanned on the flatbed as there wasn't time to do that with 1000's of photos to go through. At the 300 dpi setting, this thing literally spits the photos out like a money counter. It is incredibly fast and does a great job cropping to the exact photo size, which was a time consuming and flawed manual method using the flatbed. The unit is certainly pricey but well worth it if you don't want to spend the rest of your life trying to digitize your old photo collection. I couldn't recommend it more. If you can afford it, don't waste your time with any other method.
