There is a line in my scanned image that is not on the picture.

• The scanning head may be dirty, causing a line to appear in your image. Remove the scanning head from the base unit and blow off any loose dust or dirt. With a soft, dry cloth, wipe the clear plastic surface on the scanning head. Replace the scanning head and try to scan the picture again.
