When do I need to use the optional carrier sheet to scan?

• Use the optional carrier sheet when you scan the following document types:
  • Documents with an irregular shape.
  • Documents with folds or wrinkles.
  • Photos or other valuable originals.
  • Thin paper such as receipts or multi-part forms.

  Note: Move the separation lever to the "booklet" position when using the carrier sheets.
