When should I use the optional carrier sheet?

• Use it when you scan the following document types:

  • Documents with an irregular shape.
  • Documents with folds or wrinkles.
  • Photos or other valuable originals.
  • Thin paper such as receipts or multi-part forms.

  Note: Photos scanned using a document scanner may not have the same color depth as the original. Use a flatbed photo scanner with the optional flatbed scanner dock (ES-400 II) to achieve the best color reproduction of photos.

  The optional carrier sheet (part number B12B819051) is available for purchase from the Epson Store.

  The carrier sheet is available in a five-pack. No special setting is required to use the carrier sheet because the scanner will automatically detect the carrier sheet.
