Why am I getting an ink smudge at the bottom of some pages when printing on Photo Quality Inkjet Paper?
- There is nothing wrong with the printer. The smudge is caused by the paper coming in contact with the print head. Some inkjet papers are flat in the middle but curled on their edge. When printing Borderless or with Maximum print area selected, the bottom left and right corners lift up and may come in contact with the print head. The solution is to set the Platen Gap Lever to the envelope setting.
