Which functions are available on my product when an ink cartridge is expended or not installed?

• When a color ink cartridge is expended, you can temporarily continue printing from your computer using black ink. The printer will stop printing when an ink cartridge is not installed.

  Note: You cannot print with expended color ink cartridges using your product's control panel.

  Note: It's best to always have extra cartridges on hand.
