Which functions are available on my product when an ink cartridge is expended or not installed?

• When a color ink cartridge is expended, you can temporarily continue printing from your computer using black ink. The printer will stop printing when an ink cartridge is not installed. You cannot print with expended color ink cartridges using your product's control panel.

  Note: It's best to always have extra cartridges on hand.
