When I scan from the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF), the first page is blank or the document does not feed from the ADF. What should I do?

• To prevent this issue, ensure the printer is not in Sleep Mode by pressing any button on the printer’s control panel before you scan. You can also modify the Sleep Mode settings by selecting Settings > General Settings > Basic Settings > Auto Power On or Sleep Timer.

  When the printer is in Sleep Mode, it cannot detect paper is loaded in the ADF. This behavior is designed to improve power-saving efficiency. As a result, the printer may attempt to scan from the scanner glass instead of the ADF, which can lead to a blank scan or unexpected results.
