Support Projectors PowerLite Series Epson PowerLite 1725

I connected my Windows computer to my product with a USB cable but did not get the option to install the USB Display driver. What should I do?

  • The USB Display software should automatically install on your computer the first time you connect it to the projector with a USB cable. If your computer is not detecting the projector's USB Display feature, you can manually install the USB Display driver by following these steps:
    1. Make sure the projector is turned on.
    2. If your projector has a USB Type B setting, make sure it is set to USB Display. (See your projector's documentation for details.)
    3. Reconnect the USB cable. Make sure the square end of the USB cable is securely connected to the projector's Type B (square) USB port, and the flat end of the USB cable is connected any available USB port on your notebook or desktop computer.
    4. Open Windows Explorer (right-click , then select Explore or Open Windows Explorer).
    5. Navigate to the drive letter assigned to your projector. (The drive letter assigned to your projector may be different from the one shown in the following screenshot.)
    6. Double-click EMP_UDSE.EXE to begin installing the USB Display software. Follow the instructions on your computer screen to complete the installation.
    7. After installation, look on your projector or remote control for a Source Search or Search button. Press this button until you see your computer or laptop screen displayed.

      Note:
If you're projecting from a laptop and don't see your laptop screen displayed, you may need to press the function key that lets you display on an external monitor. It's often labeled with an icon such as , but it may also be labeled CRT/LCD. You may have to hold down the Fn key while pressing it. Check your laptop's manual or online help.
