How and when should I clean or replace the air filter?

• Clean the air filter and/or vents if they get dusty, or you see a message telling you to clean them. Dust clogs may cause the projector to overheat due to improper ventilation. See Cleaning the Air Filter and Vents.
  
  Replace the air filter if it's torn or damaged, or you see a message telling you to clean or replace the air filter after cleaning it. See Replacing the Air Filter.
  
  Warning: Before cleaning any part of the projector, turn it off and unplug the power cord. Never open any cover on the projector, except the lamp cover. Dangerous electrical voltages in the projector can injure you severely.
