Support Projectors PowerLite Series Epson PowerLite Pro Z8250NL

The remote control doesn't work. What should I do?

  • Try the following solutions:
    • Make sure you are within 49 feet of the projector, and within range of the projector's front or back remote receiver.
    • Make sure at least one of the projector's remote receivers (front or back) are turned on in the Settings menu.
    • If a button on the remote control is held for more than 30 seconds, the remote enters sleep mode. Press any button for normal operation.
    • The remote control batteries may not be installed correctly or may be low on power.
    • Dim the room lights and turn off any fluorescent lights. Make sure the projector is not in direct sunlight. Strong lighting, especially fluorescent lights, may affect the projector's infrared receivers. If you still have trouble using the remote control, disable one of the remote receivers using the Remote Receivers setting on the Settings menu to block interference from bright light.
    • Turn off any nearby equipment that emits infrared energy, such as a radiant room heater.
    • Make sure there are no objects between the remote control and the IR receiver.
    • Make sure the ID for the projector you want to operate and the ID for the remote control match in the projector's Extended menu.
    • Turn off the remote control button lock. Hold down the Help button to cancel the remote control button lock.
    • When the optional remote control cable is connected to the remote control and the projector's Remote port, the remote control light-emitting area or the projector's remote receiver are disabled. When not using the remote control cable, disconnect it from the remote control and the Remote port.
