The image is not rectangular. What should I do?

  • If the image looks like or , then the projector is tilted up or down. The projector is not level with the screen or aimed directly at the screen. Its best to adjust the physical position of the projector to correct this. The projector is not level with the screen or aimed directly at the screen. Its best to adjust the physical position of the projector to correct this. See Positioning the Image for details.

If the image looks like or , the projector has been placed off to one side of the screen and angled toward it. Face the projector straight ahead (instead of at the center of the screen), then use the horizontal lens shift dial to center the image.

    Note:
The projector offers both lens shift dial and keystone correction. Keystone correction degrades the image quality as it electronically reduces the number of pixels used to produce the image. A full 1080p image makes use of all the LCD pixels (1920 x 1080). Keystone correction reduces the number of pixels used in a full 1080p projected image in order to correct a distorted image. Therefore keystone correction should be used as a last resort to adjust the image.

You can display a test pattern to help adjust the image position by pressing the Pattern button on the remote control. Press the Esc button to turn off the test pattern.
