How do I display the same image on a projection screen and a computer monitor or laptop at the same time?

  • See below for the type of equipment you are connecting.

    PC

    • You can use the USB Display feature to display the same image on your computer and the projection screen.
    • You can connect an external monitor with a VGA computer cable to the projector's Monitor Out port to display the same image on the projection screen and a computer screen.
    • You can use an HDMI splitter to split the signal from the source and display the same image through the projector and an HDMI monitor.
    • With a laptop, you can connect an HDMI or VGA cable to the projector to display the same image on the projection screen and your laptop. After you connect the cable, do one of the following to display the image on the projection screen:

Note: Mirroring the display may not be supported on all laptops.

      • Press the Windows logo and P key on your keyboard at the same time and then select Duplicate.
      • Press the Fn and monitor (or CRT/LCD) key on the keyboard at the same time. (See your laptop manual for details.) Wait a few seconds for an image to appear.

Note: If the same image is not displayed by the laptop and projector, check your video or graphic card utilities in Windows and set the multiple display option to Mirror or Duplicate.

    Mac

    • With a laptop, do the following to display the image on the projection screen:
      1. Open System Preferences.
      2. Click Displays.
      3. Click the Arrangement tab.
