Do I need to connect a computer or video device to the projector to annotate?

  • No, you can annotate on a blank screen using the projector's PC Free Annotation mode or the Whiteboard source. PC Free Annotation mode allows you to annotate with or without devices connected to the projector. The Whiteboard source allows you to write or draw on the projection screen just as you would on a chalkboard or dry erase board.

Built-in backgrounds are also available with the Whiteboard source.

See the sections below to switch to PC Free Annotation mode or the Whiteboard source.

Note: The projector's built-in tools do not provide the same functions as the Easy Interactive Tools software.

    PC Free Annotation mode

    Do the following:

    1. Use the remote control to select an unused source.
    2. Tap the icon, then the icon.

Note: If you only see the icon, you are already in PC Free Annotation mode.

    Whiteboard source

You can switch to the Whiteboard source in a few ways. Do one of the following:

    • Tap and drag the or whiteboard tab across the projection screen.
    • Tap the image source icon on the projector control toolbar and select Whiteboard.
    • Press the Whiteboard button on the remote control or control pad.
