When I send an HDMI source through the EPSON PowerLite Pilot Control box, I cannot control the volume using the Pilot's master volume control. What is wrong?
-
The EPSON PowerLite Pilot's master volume control does not adjust the volume of an HDMI source because the video and audio signals are combined, therefore, the audio signal is passed through the EPSON PowerLite Pilot. With other input sources, video and audio signals are separated and the EPSON PowerLite Pilot can control the volume.
To adjust the EPSON PowerLite Pilot's master volume control when using an HDMI connection, do the following:
- Connect an HDMI cable from the source to the EPSON PowerLite Pilot.
- Connect an HDMI cable from the EPSON PowerLite Pilot to the projector.
- Connect a 3.5mm mini jack audio cable from the projector's Audio Out jack to the Audio In jack on the top side of the EPSON PowerLite Pilot.
- Select the HDMI source by pressing the HDMI button on the EPSON PowerLite Pilot Control box.
Note: Epson also recommends using the above setup to control EPSON PowerLite Pilot's master volume with LAN sources.
