Advanced Digital Imaging Processing

Realtime 12-bit analog-to-digital video processing for smooth tonal transitions, while helping to eliminate banding, blocking, and other compression artifacts from the final visual performance. This powerful processing technology faithfully reproduces the source material the way it was intended to be shown.

10-Bit HDR Colour Processing

Full 10-bit HDR3 colour processing accepting 100% of the HDR source information to faithfully reproduce HDR content for an exceptional visual performance.

Epson UltraBlack Technology

Epson created a proprietary Compensation Filter that controls the polarization of light itself. This allows Epson to suppress any stray light within the signal, producing an outstanding Dynamic Contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1.

Extreme Colour Gamut.

The proprietary 3LCD Projection Engine is one of the reasons why Epson is considered the world leader in high-resolution projection technology. A true 3-Chip design, Epson 3LCD technology utilizes three-individual LCD chips for each colour of RGB. The result? Incredible brightness, colour accuracy, and image detail – for an exceptional home theatre experience.

Introducing the Epson Precision Lens Technology

Designed for zero-light-leakage, all Epson Precision Lenses utilize a proprietary 15-element precision glass structure for outstanding image clarity and edge-to-edge focus uniformity.

Unique 15-Element Aspheric Glass Structure (AGS)

Epson precision cinema lenses feature a unique 15-Element Aspheric Glass Structure (AGS) that shifts the focal plane to the inside of the lens structure itself. Not only does this ensure surface dust is not visible on the final projected image but provides outstanding overall brightness and focus uniformity.

Optimal Modulation Transfer Function (MTF)

Epson precision lenses are designed around optimizing the Modulation Transfer Function in order to ensure superior resolving power at any zoom level. This not only maximizes the performance of our unique 3LCD Projection Engine but ensures a professional-level of colour accuracy while eliminating virtually any chromatic aberration.

The lens is a critical component within the overall projector design. This is why Epson decided to develop precision lenses in partnership with some of the world’s greatest lens manufacturers. Utilizing an advanced form of fusion & cooling, Epson precision lenses combine over 100 raw materials into pristine glass lens structures – rivaling some of the world’s most precise lenses.

Extreme Focus Uniformity

Utilizing advanced manufacturing processes allows the Epson precision lenses have up to 35% better Focus Uniformity than virtually any other projection lens available today. The result? Epson precision lenses are capable of faithfully displaying the source material without reducing image brightness or detail.

3-Axis Precision Motorized Lens

After installation, you can shift the lens 47% left or right on the horizontal axis and 96% up or down on the vertical axis. You can also set the zoom and focus, then store all the settings in one of ten lens memory presets.

Epson Digital Lamp Projection is unique within the industry. The key to utilizing lamps to provide the main light source within a projector is to precisely control the wavelength of light being delivered by the lamp itself.

In order to precisely control the wavelength of light being delivered, Epson engineers specifically designed the lamp and the 3-Chip Projection Systems to work together. Not only does this deliver a more consistent visual performance from the projector, but ensures the correct colour of light is used within the Epson 3LCD Projection Engine. This results in outstanding overall colour and white brightness performance, while optimizing overall lamp life.
