Siri Shortcuts for Epson iPrint

Voice-activated, menu-free printing and scanning is now available through the Epson iPrint™ App and Siri® Shortcuts. Print photos from your iPhone® or iPad®, or scan documents using the camera on your device or your printer connected to your network. You can even check your printer ink levels. Just ask Siri and it’s done!

Setting Up Siri Shortcuts for Epson iPrint

Siri Shortcuts for Epson iPrint allow you to print your last photo, scan a document or photo, capture a document, or check your ink levels via voice commands on your iOS device. Before you start, make sure your product is connected to a network with a wireless or Ethernet connection as described on the Start Here sheet for your product.

  1. Open the Epson iPrint app.
     
  2. Select Add Siri Shortcuts.

  3. Select the feature that you want to add to Siri Shortcuts.

  4. Select the small red circle inside white square with black border icon and say a custom shortcut phrase for the selected feature.

  5. Your custom shortcut phrase appears on the screen. Select Done to finish shortcut setup or select Re-Record Phrase to re-record the shortcut phrase.

Printing Your Most Recent Photo

Say your custom printing shortcut phrase. The most recent photo you took automatically prints.

Note: If you didn’t select a product in Epson iPrint, an error message appears. Select a product and try again.

Scanning a Photo or Document

  1. Say your custom scanning shortcut phrase. Your photo or document scans and appears.

    Note: If you didn’t select a product in Epson iPrint, an error message appears. Select a product and try again.
     
  2. Do one of the following:
    1. Select floppy disk save icon to save your scan to your device's storage, a cloud storage service, or to open the scan in another app. Select your destination, enter a name for the scan, select the file type, and select Save or Upload.

    2. Select email icon of small envelope to email your scan. Enter a name, select a file type, and select Mail.

    3. Select print icon to print your scan. Select settings icon to select any print settings. When you're done, select Print.
       

Capturing a Document

You can use your device camera to capture the image of a document and then adjust, print, or save that capture.

  1. Say your custom document capture shortcut phrase. The Document Capture screen appears.

    Note: If you didn’t select a product in Epson iPrint, an error message appears. Select a product and try again.
     
  2. Aim your device camera at the document. Make sure the document is within the on-screen guides.

    : Select document capture window and adjust the capture settings as necessary.

  3. Select Catpure.

  4. Do one of the following:
    1. Select Adjust to crop the capture, enhance the image quality, and then save or print the capture.
    2. Select Preview to view and print the capture.
    3. Select Save to save the capture to your device's storage.
       

Checking Ink Levels

Say your custom ink level shortcut phrase. Your product’s ink levels automatically appear.
