The cartridgeless printing was the main selling point for me and i was looking for a printer that I could expext great quality from for both documents and mainly for my creative hobbies. This printer is amazing snd has only expanded my abilities for what i can do/make. It is most definitely worth the purchase and such a great buy. If younare on the fence, i guarantee you will not regret

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best photo printer I have ever owned I have have had this almost two years now and it is the best photo printer I have ever had. I mostly print photos but other stuff when my HP laser printer acts up. You have to print at least once week. I print color charts If I have not printed that week.If you miss a week (in Ohio) you may have to go through the cleaning process. Also it is very sensitive to the paper you use. You must set the correct paper type or you may have problem like some some of the bad reviews. Works great for me an amateure photographer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely Fantastic I recently purchased this eco tank printer to replace my XP7100, which is a fine printer. I have owned and used a variety of Epson photo quality printers and every one has produced beautiful photos. The 8500 was the easiest one to set up and install, incredibly easy, no issues encountered. The quality of my photographs are outstanding, better than anything I can get done commercially. When asked where I get my pictures done I am quick to respond, "At home on my Epson 8500".

I don't see any as of yet that will cause me to change my view. I have a small business and so far so good

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BEST printer I have owned yet! LOVE this printer! I do the youth softball pictures each year and ordered this to print them off this year. I have held out purchasing this for a year to see the reviews and I am kicking myself for not purchasing this when it first hit the market! I do photography on the side and take lots of pictures of my 10 grandkids and love to print them. This printer makes it a DREAM! I love offering my own packages to my photography clients as well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overpriced nice printer The printer does a nice job at both document printing as well as high quality photo prints. Unfortunately, unless this thing lasts me for 15+ years, it was hard to spend that much money on a home printer. We will see how it holds up.
