Epson GX. Taking SCARA robot performance to the next level.
Introducing the GX8, part of Epson’s new high-power-density SCARA robot lineup. The GX8 builds upon 40 years of expertise to deliver next-level performance and flexibility in a compact footprint. A breakthrough in productivity, the GX8 uses advanced Epson GYROPLUS technology to provide fast production speeds and smooth motion control, all with higher payloads.
Engineered to meet your unique automation needs, the GX8 offers multiple arm configurations and a 450-650 mm reach to accomplish the most demanding tasks—including assembly, pick and place, dispensing, and other material handling with ultra high precision. Its innovative slimline design easily integrates into Cleanroom, ESD or Washdown environments and quickly handles payloads up to 8 kg from a conveniently small form factor. Designed for ease of use, Epson RC+® software works seamlessly with the GX8 to create powerful automation solutions and offers integrated options to simplify the most complex applications. Plus, with battery-less encoders, a built-in Ethernet cable and other useful features, it supports a remarkably low total cost of ownership.
- Ultra high performance and flexibility — high throughput with heavy payloads to accomplish the most demanding tasks with leading-edge precision
- Unique high-power-density SCARA — innovative, slimline design handles heavy workloads at fast speeds, all in a small footprint
- Fast cycle times — higher acceleration compared to prior generations, smooth motion and fast settling times help maximize throughput for high-precision applications
- Ultimate ease of use — intuitive and feature-packed Epson RC+ development software helps create powerful solutions with a simple user interface, integrated debugger and advanced 3D simulator
- Low residual vibration — fast settling times with proprietary Epson GYROPLUS vibration reduction system and rigid arm design, plus no ringing or overshoot
- Low total cost of ownership — includes battery-less encoders, a built-in Ethernet cable and Epson RC+ software with no recurring license fee
- Optimized footprint — table, wall- and ceiling-mount options, as well as cable bottom exit option; 450, 550 and 650 mm reach available; longer Z axis available on all models
- Built for demanding environments —Standard, Cleanroom (ISO3) and ESD, Protected IP65, and new standalone ESD models available
- Advanced integrated options — Vision Guidance, Parts Feeding, Force Guidance, Conveyor Tracking, Fieldbus, Euromap67, API.NET and Arm Length Calibration
